Take 2 Prayers

In year 2 of CITYChurch we want to TAKE 2.  Because where you are, is not where you are meant to stay.  God moving in you is a great first step, but God's ultimate desire is to work through you.  It's not that God wants to stop working in you; it's more that in order to do all He wants to do IN you, you must allow God to work through you.

Take 2 is all about allowing God to work in you AND through you.

The first step in Taking 2, is 2 Pray.  I am asking you to spend sacrificial time in prayer this week for some or all of these ideas.  And be bold.  As you feel led ask God for BIG answers.  Let's learn together to expect our BIG God to move in BIG ways.  For His glory not for ours.  I believe that CITYChurch can be a really good church and people may get confused and think that I am a good leader.  Or, God can do something so amazing, so outside of the box that there is no chance that anyone could give the credit to any person.  Pray for that.  Pray for CITYChurch to become an example of God's mighty power.

Here are some prayer suggestions for this week:

Pray that EVERYONE that God wants to be at CITYChurch this Sunday, October 28th, will be there.

If you have ever wondered what if God did this, then pray that God would do that.

Pray for the non-Christian person that you think is most unlikely to accept Jesus as their Savior and King.  Pray for anyone that needs to accept Jesus as Savior and King, but let's ask God to move in ways that seem impossible.

Pray that God will convict you personally of the next steps He wants you to take.

Pray that God will increase the number of people who are committed to helping CITYChurch make a difference for the Kingdom of God.

Prayer of protection and healing:

Josh Peterson, who has been part of CITYChurch since long before we started meeting on Sundays, had a malignant mass removed from his lungs last week.  Further tests have found no other cancer in his body at this time, but he will be starting chemo treatments this week.  Please pray that the treatments ensure long term freedom from cancer and also pray that Josh's body will endure the chemo.
